Eagle Watch – Henry’s Will be on Site with Lenses

For those of you who haven’t heard, Henry’s will be on site January 28th-29th, 2012 during the Eagle Watch at Sheffeld Mills, NS.

There will be an opportunity for those of you who do not have a “big lens,” to try out the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 and the 150-500mm lens in both the Canon and Nikon Mounts!  It is possible that the 120-300 f2.8 as well as 2x teleconverters will be available as well.

They will be there from 7am-12pm, but if the birds are not feeding, then Henry’s will remain on site if necessary.

Don’t forget that the Kings County Photo Club and Henry’s are also sponsoring a photo contest this year.

Happy Shooting!

Kings County Photo Club 2012 – Eagle Photo Contest

 This contest is open to all of our members in The Sackville Photography Club.

*************************************************************

The Kings County Photo Club is sponsoring the 2012 Photo Contest in conjunction with Henry’s and The Sheffield Mills Eagle Watch.

There will be two categories;

– Best Eagle or Bird of Prey Shot

This category is for the photographer looking to capture the great shot of the eagles.  Remember to photograph the birds doing something.  There are lots of great shots of static eagles.  Get them hunting, interacting, feeding, grooming or engaged in other eagle activities.  The photo should “teach” the viewer something about eagles.  And because there are more than just eagles out there, the contest is open to any bird of prey.

Best Spirit or Experience of the Sheffield Mills Eagle Weekends

 This category is specifically for photographers with all types of cameras.  You don’t need a lens the size of a canon to compete in this category.  All you need is an idea and then the ability to capture it.  Attend one of the many scheduled events such as displays and meals (see the website http://www.eaglens.ca/index.php for daily activities), go to the viewing areas or just explore the Valley.

 The Fine PrintPhotograph must have been taken in 2012.

One submission is allowed per category per person.
Submit your entry to kings.photography.club@gmail.com  by Wednesday Feb 8th noon with your contact information.Prizes will be awarded for the top three in each category.Winners will be notified by Feb 15th.Winners consent to having their winning photograph displayed on the social media of the sponsors.
